Seattle Lindy Exchange 2009

August 7–9

Sunday

Westlake Park Jam

Westlake Park | 2PM - 6PM

Westlake Park, 4th Ave & Pine St, downtown Seattle, each year plays host to an afternoon of jamming swing tunes and dancing in the sun.  Passers by stop to enjoy the music and watch as others join in for a dance.  Free to the public, this dance is a favorite among those who enjoy spending time outside in the city.

Crytzer’s Blue Rhythm Band

Century Ballroom | 9:30PM - 12:30AM

Sunday night at the Century Ballroom is a Seattle living tradition for great swing music and dancing.  And a night at the Century Ballroom with Cryzter’s Blue Rhythm Band is hard to beat!
Get yourself gussied up and latch on to the groove of big band swing.  These 13 swinging jazz men will be hittin’ and blowin’ amazing arrangements from the swing era, as well as some original charts by Glenn Crytzer.  Topping it off will be special guest Meschiya Lake, our fabulous guest vocalist from New Orleans.

After Hours

Washington Dance Club | 1AM - 5AM

Wind down the weekend late Sunday night at the final dance of the festival.  Enjoy those last dances and don’t miss those last chances to spend time with friends, dancers and musicians.

The Seattle Lindy Exchange is brought to you by the Savoy Swing Club, a non-profit corporation [501(c)3] located in Seattle, WA.
